Open training sessions announced for the Leeds Rhinos Development Academy with Leeds City College

Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Leeds City College are holding open training sessions on Monday 5th July for any prospective players interested in joining the Leeds Rhinos Development Academy teams.

The sessions are open to both boys and girls aged 16-19 who are interested in joining the Development Academy in 2021, a dual-pathway programme which enables them to train, play and learn full time at Leeds City College, whilst representing Leeds Rhinos at a post-16 level.

It’s the perfect chance for any players in Years 11-13 who are looking to take the next steps towards a career in professional sport by enrolling on an elite rugby league programme to showcase their talents and experience training like a pro in our first-class facilities at Leeds Rugby Academy, Kirkstall.

Attendees will also get the chance to train alongside current students and staff and gain an insight into how the programme runs.

The Leeds Rhinos Development Academy programme provides the ‘student athlete’ with the best possible environment to succeed on and off the pitch, with its world-class rugby league coaching provision in the Rhinos’ performance pathway, alongside a wide variety of qualifications, academic and vocational course options at the College.
