New Community Staff added to Leeds Rhinos Foundation

Dan Hardy will return to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation this year

As the new school year begins, Leeds Rhinos Foundation has welcomed three new staff members into their growing community team who will support the charity’s work in schools.

Ben Pulleyn, will be heading up the 2gether school cluster in the Harehills and Chapel Allerton and Sam Jackson will be working with 11 partner schools throughout Leeds, delivering bespoke PE and curriculum lessons.

Dan Hardy returns to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation as part of the Active Schools Partnership in the Carr Manor Sports Partnership. Dan will offer support, advice and guidance to schools and will also coach the Leeds City College rugby team.

Hardy, who previously worked with Leeds Rhinos Foundation as a Partner Schools officer before becoming a teacher said: “I’m looking forward to coming back to Leeds Rhinos Foundation for this school year.

“The charity is expanding in terms of its school work and when the opportunity arose to come back, it was a no brainer.”

Gareth Cook, community manager at Leeds Rhinos Foundation, said: “Having Ben and Sam on board is great for Leeds Rhinos Foundation because we have gained two excellent individuals.

“They’ve settled in really well with the whole team and now it’s about them becoming effective in the new school year and the challenges that comes with that.

“In terms of the school year, the whole team feels confident. We are covering more schools than ever before, hence why Ben will oversee the 2gether cluster.  Sam will be working closely with myself to ensure that we have another successful school year."
