LRF TV: Leeds Rhinos Stars and LRF Help Change Lives at Leeds Children Hospital

Stars from the Leeds Rhinos visited Leeds Children’s Hospital on Wednesday afternoon to give presents, provided by Leeds Rugby Foundation, to children less fortunate than themselves. Watch the highlights package of the memorable day here.

The Rhinos first team squad travelled down with Leeds Rugby Foundation staff and everyone’s favourite mascot Ronnie the Rhino, to visit over 150 children on the Leeds General Infirmary Children’s Ward.

Both the children and parents were all delighted to see the Rhinos stars which included Jamie Peacock, Danny McGuire, Ryan Bailey and new signing Paul Aiten.

Thanks must go to Fourway Executive Travel who provided the free transport as well as Leeds General Infirmary nurses who were extremely helpful and welcoming.

Leeds Rhinos star Danny McGuire commented: “Today has been fantastic for everyone involved. Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Rugby Foundation are always determined to help the community and people who are less fortunate than us,” he said.

“It was a real privilege to come along and give some Christmas presents out and we hope we have put a smile on the children’s faces.”

New Leeds Rhinos signing Paul Aiton was also humbled by the experience and commented: “It’s very humbling. Hopefully our visit took both the kids and the parents’ mind of their illness just for a couple of minutes. It is such a good feeling to make a difference.”
