LRF TV: Leeds 2 Rio Disability Sport Day A Great Success

As part of the UK’s first National Paralympic day named ‘Leeds 2 Rio Disability Day’, Leeds Rhinos wheelchair team hosted a wheelchair Rugby League festival last Sunday from 10am-4pm at the John Charles Centre For Sport. Watch the video below.

 

As part of the event, Leeds Rugby Foundation entered an "all-stars team" which will consisted of former Rhinos star and now Foundation Coach, Keith Senior.

The main event of the day saw the professionals, England v Ireland do battle after their Wheelchair RLWC.

The event was free to attend and all ages and abilities had the chance to try out 14 disability and Paralympic sports including Wheelchair Basketball with Leeds Spiders WBC, adapted cycling, blind football, power-chair football, wheelchair tennis, visually impaired tennis, boccia and many more.
