LRF TV: Hawks Still On the Hunt for Players

LRF’s ‘Community Club of the Month’, Headingley Hawks, are still on the lookout for children to join their teams for the 2014 season

Earlier this month, Leeds Rugby Foundation made the Headingley Hawks its first 'Community Club of the Month'. This project, which is part of the LRF's development plan for Leeds aims to promote every amateur club based in Leeds to try and promote the game at grassroots level. The club is still searching for children to join their teams for the 2014 season.

Headingley Hawks train at Bus Vale, Meanwood Road, LS6 2BJ on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm (training is also on Tuesdays during summer) and play their home games at Woodhouse Cricket Club, Meanwood Road, Leeds, LS6 2BH.

The small but ambitious club prides itself on being well organised and well supported, welcoming children of all abilities to train and play in their under 12s (school year 7) and under 13s (school year 8) teams.

If your child would like to get involved with the Hawks then contact headingleyhawks@gmail.com or phone Paul Wilson on 07890418216 or Cath Conboy on 07919400509.

If you want YOUR club to be featured on Leeds Rugby Foundation's website, all LRF ask is for each club to provide a 2 to 3 minute video promoting your club. This video can include your club in match action, or even just a training session. The content within the video is entirely up to the clubs themselves. (Coverage on Rhinos site is dependant on quality of video produced.)

Alternatively each club can simply forward their details, including contact information, teams looking to strengthen, as well as a relevant image to use online.
