Keith Senior, Leeds Rhinos Community Development Officer, visited leeds based Ceramic Sculptor, Mandy Long to look over some of the fantastic sculptures that she had made of himself and for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.
During the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, Mandy Long had an exhibition of work held at Leeds Town Hall to celebrate the event coming to Leeds that was sponsored by Leeds City Council with a 'Leeds Inspired Grant'. The event was organised and promoted by Leeds Rugby Arts of the Leeds Rugby Foundation.
Mandy Long has dedicated much of her life to making ceramic sculptures of a range of different sports starting with football and branching out into contemporary dance and rugby. Keith went down to meet Mandy who has made a range of different sculptures of the Ex-Rhino and even allowed him to take home a personalised sculpture.
