Local Eyes partnership providing boost for Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Health programmes

Leeds Rhinos Foundation partnership with ‘Local Eyes’ advertising helps boost participants attending charity’s health programmes.

It’s 12 months since Leeds Rhinos Foundation began its partnership with “Local Eyes” www.mylocal-eyes.co.uk/ which has helped promote the charity’s projects and fundraising events with advertising space in their monthly doorstep publications.

Since February 2020 they have gifted the Foundation over £7,500 worth of FREE advertising space in their local A5 advertising directories reaching over 264,000 household and business letterboxes.

Louise Clayton, owner and director of Local Eyes, said: “As a small business we don’t have the funds to make sizable charitable donations, but we are proud to be able to support Leeds Rhinos Foundation by gifting our services and advertising space.

“This helps them by raising awareness of their fundraising events and by telling the residents within our distribution areas about the great work that Leeds Rhinos Foundation does for the community.”

Amy Livingstone, Health Improvement Officer for Leeds Rhinos Foundation highlighted the importance of this type of support: “With the current restrictions in place it has been harder for us to spread the word about the various health programmes we deliver.

“With the gifted advertising provided to us by Local Eyes we have been able to overcome this and reach more people with the promotion of our programmes across Leeds. It is great that more people can access our services as a result and get the support we offer to improve their health and wellbeing.”

Speaking about their partnership, Tracey Mearns, Business Development and Partnerships Manager at Leeds Rhinos Foundation added: “As a registered charity, financial donations from our commercial supporters are vital, however support of this type is also highly valued as it helps raise awareness of our projects and promote our fundraising events to potential participants.

“We’re extremely grateful to Local Eyes for their support, it has allowed us to re-direct budgeted funds for advertising back into the valuable work we deliver through our projects to vulnerable communities across Leeds.”
