Just One More is a local campaign to encourage people across Leeds to eat Just One More portion of vegetables every day.
As a foundation who works with thousands of young people and adults, we understand how important a balanced diet and the inclusion of vegetables in the diet is in maintaining a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
1 in 3 primary school children, 1 in 4 high school children and 1 in 8 adults eat less than one portion of vegetables per day.
This is why FoodWise Leeds is encouraging people across Leeds to eat just one more:
- At school
- In your shopping basket
- In your meals
- To share with friends & family
- As a snack
- From your garden
Across the next month, we’ll be sharing content to show how important vegetables are in the diet of people from Leeds Rhinos, from players to staff and more! We’ll also be hosting a Just One More stall at our home match against Castleford on 1st June, along with other healthy living stalls.
As part Rhinos Challenge, where over 4000 children attend and play in rugby and netball festivals from across the country, we hosted healthy snack stations with signposting support to further information and recipes to include more vegetables. The campaign is also driven through our day to day delivery within schools and community clubs and wider activations.
