Leeds Rhinos Foundation were delighted to join partners Ardagh Glass on Friday 24th August at their Doncaster factory to celebrate Ardagh Glass’ 50th Anniversary.
The Foundation has a close relationship with Ardagh Glass due to the Foundation's health staff running Inspire Days focusing on health and nutrition and health awareness for the company’s employees.
To celebrate, Ardagh Glass in Doncaster hosted a family fun day for all employees and invited the Leeds Rhinos Foundation to join them. It was a fun filled day which included face painting, sweet stalls, factory tours and much more.
The Foundation supported this event by delivering rugby skills sessions, cheerleading taster sessions, and holding a raffle for everyone who attended.
The winning raffle numbers were:
Green 56-60: Signed Leeds Rhinos shirt
Green 6-10: Signed Leeds Rhinos ball
All the money collected is going to Ardagh Glass’ charity of choice, Doncaster Charity Fund.
Overall, the event was a success with a turnout of over 150 employees. Dan Busfield, Head of Partnerships and Development at Leeds Rhinos Foundation, said: " It was a pleasure to be invited by Ardagh Glass to support their fun day last week.
"The Foundation has a close partnership with the company and we work with lots of their employees, looking at their health mainly and making them aware of wellbeing, nutrition and activity. These can be through the staff training days that the Foundation's staff attends but also the fun days, which is more of an informal atmosphere."
