Free Girls Rugby League taster sessions this week at community clubs in West Leeds!

Leeds Rhinos Foundation is running two free Girls’ Sky Try Rugby League taster sessions with community clubs in West Leeds on Wednesday 26 May.

The taster sessions, which will be hosted by Stanningley Ladies and West Leeds Eagles Women & Girls ARLFC, will provide coaching on some fundamental rugby league skills and fun games which provide a gentle introduction to the sport in a safe and welcoming environment.

As part of the session, new players will also get to meet experienced club coaches to ask any questions and explore the option of joining the club for the upcoming season.

The popularity of Women’s and Girls’ Rugby League is now at an all-time high with the number of women and girls playing in the community game increasing by 53% since 2017, and 90% of players reporting improved mental wellbeing as a consequence of playing Rugby League.
