Leeds Foundation spread their coaching skills to Cyprus

While the Leeds Rhinos players and coaching staff are hard at work pre-season training in Cyprus, the Leeds Rugby Foundation are taking the opportunity to teach the children on the island some of the skills involved in being a world class Rugby League player.

Sam Horner has flown out as part of the team and his camps – in schools and the local RAF base where the entourage are stationed – have proved to be so popular that they have all had the ‘full’ signs put up.

As well as coaching, Sam has also taken the Super League Trophy out with him and has made that part of his tour accompanied by the players who won it so dramatically at Old Trafford last October.

Leeds Rugby Foundation would like to pass on its congratulations to both Jamie Peacock for being recognised as a leading inspirational figure in the world of Rugby League with the awarding of an MBE in the Her Majesty the Queen’s New Year Honours list and also to Rob Burrow and his wife Lindsey on the birth of their daughter Macy.
