Leeds 10k postponed until 2021

Run for All recently announced that the Leeds 10K had been postponed until 4th July, 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.

For all participants who had signed up for the event with the Run with the Rhinos team, their place will be held for next year’s event, when once again the team will be raising funds for Leeds Rhinos Foundation and the Rob Burrow Fund.

Bob Bowman, Chief Operating Officer at Leeds Rhinos Foundation said: “The news that the Leeds 10k has been postponed is disappointing, as I know many of you will have been working hard to train towards this year’s event, however everybody’s safety is the priority and we fully understand and support the decision.

This is a challenging time for all charities, as events like the Leeds 10K are major fundraising opportunities that allow us to continue our important work in the community, so we hope you will still be able to join us next year to support Leeds Rhinos Foundation and the Rob Burrow Fund.”

Although the Run with the Rhinos team will not be able to come together on the 22nd, Bowman said plans were underway to arrange an ‘at home’ event which he hoped people would be able to get involved in.

“We are looking to organise a ‘Run 10K at Home’ event for Sunday 22nd November, the date the Leeds 10K was due to take place,” added Bowman.  “We hope to confirm some of our legends will be taking part and that you too will be able to join in too with supporting this. More information will be released shortly.

I would like to take this opportunity in thanking you all for signing up for the Run with the Rhinos event, your support makes a huge difference in our community and helps us to continue our work to change lives through sport.”
