Leeds Rugby Foundation are proud to announce that Leeds Rhinos legend Keith Senior has safely completed his Quest 13 mission.

Senior, who played 13 full seasons’ for Leeds Rhinos, set off on a 13 mile run alongside his Quest 13 team members which included Leeds Rugby Foundation Vice President Bob Bowman, at 7am this morning from Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

Senior and the team then returned to the stadium before shortly taking to the road again, this time on a 113km bike ride. After a gruelling ride that took them up to Bolton Abbey and back to the Stadium again, Senior and co took to the rowing machines for the 13 mile row outside the Leeds Rhinos club shop.

Hundreds of fans made their way through the gates ahead of tonight’s’ game between Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR to cheer the team on as they completed the Quest 13 challenge.

Many also got the chance to challenge themselves against Senior on the rowing machine with the fastest 500m winning the Leeds Rhinos legends’ signed Quest 13 jersey.

Fans can still show their appreciation to Senior and the team’s efforts by texting QUES13 plus £3, £5 or £10 to 70070. Alternatively they can donate online by visiting http://www.justgiving.com/QUEST13.

All money raised will help Leeds Rugby Foundation change lives through sport.

After completing the Quest 13 challenge, a very tired Keith Senior thanked everyone for their support:

“I would firstly like to pay a huge thanks to Quest Solutions who made this event possible.

“Quest Solutions are Key Partners and Premier Suite Members with Leeds Rhinos and have sponsored the Rhinos for 10 years now.

“Quest Solutions are also Leeds Rhinos socks and short sponsors and have sponsored a number of players over the years. I know that Directors Tony and Simon were very proud to be associated with the Quest 13 challenge,” continued Senior.

“Thanks also to Edinburgh Bike Co-op who supplied my bike and to everyone who has donated, cheered us on and supported Leeds Rugby Foundation.

“Between myself, Bob Bowman and Barrie McDermott, we have even more challenges approaching including the Great North Run and the Yorkshire Marathon.

“And of course we are already thinking about another big challenge for 2014, so please tweet @rugbyleeds with your ideas as to what you would like to see us do next!”
