Rugby League Development Officer – Schools and Female Participation

As a result of the success of the Rugby League Development Plan for Leeds, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Rugby League Development Officer to join the dynamic, passionate and professional Leeds Rugby Foundation team.

Leeds Rugby Foundation aims to change lives through sport and this individual will have the opportunity to do just that. They need to be motivated, passionate and a self-starter with fantastic communication skills and experience of working within Rugby League Development.

Reporting to the Rugby League Development Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Coaching delivery and game development within a cluster of Primary schools in the South Leeds area
• Delivering school Rugby League Festivals
• To explore and expand the current Leeds Rugby Foundation female participation strategy
• To develop partnerships with key strategic partners, especially schools, to raise awareness of the wider educational and social inclusion projects on offer from the Leeds Rugby Foundation

Additional Responsibilities will include:

• Additional work for the Leeds Rugby Foundation as requested by your Line Manager
• Attendance at all core Leeds Rugby Foundation events including Leeds Rhinos match days
• Update Outlook calendar on a weekly basis and manage your own workload effectively
• Attendance at Leeds Rugby Foundation camps and summer activities outside of term times as required by line manager.

The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate at all levels, have excellent time management skills and be able to work as an individual and as part of the Leeds Rugby Foundation team.

This is a full time role, which will be based at Leeds Rugby Foundation, Leeds Rugby Academy, Bridge Road, Clarence Fields, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3BW and also in the community in the South Leeds area. The salary for the role is dependent on your skills, experience and current qualifications.
