Jamie ‘Leeds’ the way with new First Bus campaign

Leeds Rhinos player and Leeds Rhinos Foundation trustee Jamie Jones-Buchanan is teaming up with First Leeds to lend his support to a new campaign encouraging more young people to use the bus and travel sustainably.

Walking to the bus stop is good for people’s health and the travelling by bus is the most cost effective way to get around Leeds. In order to inspire more children and families to use the bus, children attending Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s summer camps are being given a leaflet filled with a unique code to claim a free FirstBus Day mTicket and give the service a try.

The leaflet also includes a series of top tips from Jamie on how to stay healthy and active, including details of fun activities that will help the children to achieve a balanced diet and keep fit, just like the sporting superstar!

First’s brand new LeedsCity buses, which are now more eco-friendly and sport a bright green look, also come with a range of exciting tech features, such as free WIFI, USB charging points, contactless payment machines and the First Bus App, which helps you to plan your journey and buy tickets all from one place.

Download the First Bus App now on the Google Play and iOS App Stores.
