An astonishing 160 year 7 and 8 girls have taken part in a nine-a-side contact festival at Kirkstall which was used as a warm up for the Carnegie Championship schools competition.
The day was a great success and Settle Middle School were the overall winners beating Cockburn School in a close final, scoring one try to nil.
Other schools involved included Rodillian, Boston Spa, Leeds West Academy, Leeds East Academy, DYCA, Bruntcliffe and Roundhay.
Special thanks has to go to the staff that brought the pupils to the event and also to the other volunteers who helped at the event.
