Foundation become Talent Pathway partners

Leeds Rhinos Foundation is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership that will see the charity become an official partner of the England Talent Pathway Programme.

The award-winning programme aims to increase the number of quality 12-14-year-old rugby league players through the education and training of both junior players and coaches.

The programme of Coach Education, Inclusive Player Profiling and 24 Player Development sessions, which will begin in August with the Under 12s and Under 13s events at Leeds Rugby Academy, can be used and adapted to meet the needs of all young players from across the city.

Ian Hardman, Rugby League Development Manager at Leeds Rhinos Foundation, commented: “The England Talent Pathway will provide all young rugby league players within Leeds schools and Ambassador clubs with better access to high quality Player Development programmes, alongside upskilling teachers and coaches to further enhance their own rugby league delivery.”

“We’ve already announced the first series of Player Development Days for August, which will be a fantastic opportunity for junior players to come and learn from Leeds Rhinos Scholarship coaches and make use of the world-class training facilities down at the Leeds Rugby Academy in Kirkstall.

“There are still spaces available, so if you’re interested in joining us on either date make sure you go online and sign up now!”
