Fixtures revealed for 2019 PDRL season

Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) team will begin their campaign on Sunday 12th May when they face Wakefield Trinity and Wigan Warriors at Eastmoor Dragons ARLFC.

The fixture list for the 2019 PDRL season was revealed earlier this week, with the Rhinos scheduled to play 10 league matches across five ‘festivals’, each hosted by a different competing Super League side.

First up for the Rhinos is a tough test against West Yorkshire rivals Wakefield Trinity (Kick Off 1pm), who will be hosting the festival at Eastmoor Dragons ARLFC, Woodhouse Road, Wakefield, WF1 4RD.

They will then take on Wigan Warriors in their second fixture of the afternoon at 1:30pm, both of which will follow a 9-a-side format for a duration of 25 minutes.

Teams will play two games at each festival, including September’s Grand Day Out in Blackpool, which will once again showcase the best of Rugby League variants with more than 600 players participating across five modified forms of the sport– Touch, Masters, LDRL, PDRL and Wheelchair.

Emerald Headingley Stadium, the home of Leeds Rhinos, will then play host to the Grand Final on Sunday 29th September, where the inaugural PDRL champions will be crowned.
