Leeds Rhinos Foundation is providing children across Leeds with the perfect opportunity to start playing Rugby League at one of their local clubs with a series of four junior taster sessions running during the October half term holidays.
These fun and friendly sessions have been designed to give boys and girls throughout the city who have never played Rugby League before the chance to come and give it try!
During each free session, qualified coaches from Leeds Rhinos Foundation will provide a fun introduction to the sport and help teach your children the essential skills needed to begin their rugby league journey through a series of fun games and coaching drills.
By training alongside current players from their junior teams, attendees will enjoy a fun experience within a community club setting where they can make new friends, build their teamwork skills and socialise as part of a team.
With the whole city being gripped by Rugby League fever as the biggest and best World Cup stages eight games from the men’s and women’s tournament right here in Leeds, now is the perfect time for youngsters to get involved with the sport and discover the unforgettable experiences, memories, and bonds it creates for players of all ages.

Attendees are asked to bring their own water bottle and wear comfortable sportswear or outdoor clothing suitable for the weather. Boots are preferred if you have them, but if not, trainers will also be okay.
There is no requirement to book your place at the taster sessions and children are welcome to just turn up and play, however for more information and any queries please get in touch with our Rugby League Development Officers using the email address provided above for each session.
