Community Club of the Month for January is Headingley Hawks!

Leeds Rugby Foundation are proud to announce that Headingley Hawks are the first LRF Community Club of the Month for January.

Last month saw Leeds Rugby Foundation's commitment to the local Community Rugby League clubs launch the exciting 'Community Club of the Month' initiative and Headingley Hawks ARLFC are the first club to recieve the accolade.

The project aims to see every amateur club in Leeds promoted on the Leeds Rugby Foundation website in the hope it will attract new players, in turn benefiting the game of Rugby League at grassroots level.

This new process is a major part of Leeds Rugby Foundation's Rugby League Development Plan For Leeds, supported by Mears, which aims to get more children playing Rugby League from the youngest of ages.

Headingley Hawks play their games at Woodhouse Cricket Club, Meanwood Road, Leeds, LS6 2BH. The club also train at Bus Vale on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm and they are looking for YOU to join them!

The club prides itself on being a small, but well organised and supported club, who welcome children of all abilities to train and play in their under 12's (school year 7) and under 13's (school year 8) teams .

For a taster of what you could experience at Headingley Hawks, watch the video below, which has been produced and edited by Headingley Hawks themselves.

Anyone interested in playing for Headingley Hawks should either email headingleyhawks@gmail.com or call Paul on 07890418216.

If you want YOUR club to be featured on Leeds Rugby Foundation's website, all LRF ask is for each club to provide a 2 to 3 minute video promoting your club. This video can include your club in match action, or even just a training session. The content within the video is entirely up to the clubs themselves. (Coverage on Rhinos site is dependant on quality of video produced.)

Leeds Rugby Foundation will also provide each club with a form to complete with more detailed information required on each club, including contact details, teams looking to strengthen, as well as a relevant image to use online.
