At this Sunday’s Rhinos Festive 5K at Headingley Stadium fans will be able to buy some of the team’s training gear from last season to help the club raise money to buy presents for children who are in hospital over the Christmas period.
The annual Christmas Crackers sale sees the players donate their training wear for fans to buy these unique items. There are a limited number of bags available, each is £50 and each contain warm up kit worn by the players last season. Fans are asked to please only bring cash if they want to buy one of these and all money raised will go towards items the club will purchase for the Leeds Children’s Hospital.
Each year the players visit children in hospital at Christmas, but due to COVID restrictions this year, this will not be possible, however the team still wanted to ensure the hospital received a donation and donated some of their kit for the sale and next week the players will be dropping off the gifts.
There will be a pop up shop at the stadium this Sunday at the first Rhinos Festive 5k that will be open between 10am-1pm.
