A crowd of over 3,000 attended Children’s Day at Headingley Carnegie Stadium on Sunday, mingling with Leeds Rhinos and Carnegie players and their families and taking part in or watching a wide range of activities and attractions on the pitch and surrounds.
The event was organised by the Gary Chappelow Memorial Fund and Leeds Rugby Foundation and was hailed as a huge success by Chief Executive Gary Hetherington. “I congratulate everyone involved in the organisation and promotion of the event, which I thought was the best so far,” he commented.
