Chapeltown Cougars enthralled by RLWC through Leeds Rugby Foundation.

As a reward to one of Leeds Rugby Foundation’s newest community clubs in the City, players and parents from Chapeltown Cougars were invited to the Rugby League World Cup game between New Zealand and Scotland at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

The club had a great time and all the players, family members and coaches enjoyed yet another thrilling game in this memorable RLWC.

Chapeltown Cougars were established 2 years ago and are now developing strongly into a well organised club and committee that will, this forth coming season, see them run 2 teams with the hope of developing further in 2014 through the help of Leeds Rugby Foundation.

The club has also joined in Leeds Rugby Foundation’s half-time game programme, the Club Ambassadors Festival as well as the successful Club Ambassador Scheme.

LRF Community Club Ambassador, Sam Horner commented: "Chapeltown Cougars are very much part of the Rugby League family in Leeds and we will be working with them in 2014 to develop the club in all areas, increasing participation, driving new recruits as well as benefiting the club through funding and Coach Education."
