Champion Schools Leeds South and East Rugby League Festival Results

Above Year 7 boys from Morley Academy followed by Year 7 boys from Temple Moor

The Champion Schools local stage festivals continue with the Year 7 boys from the South and East partnerships completed last week seeing Morley Academy and Temple Moor triumph in the final.

In the Leeds South Sports Partnership, Morley Academy (pictured) topped the Year 7 boys in a highly competitive group. The standard of play in these fixtures was extremely impressive producing some exciting and free flowing Rugby League.
 
In an end to end game, Morley Academy’s one try victory over Woodkirk ultimately proved crucial in the final standings. Cockburn’s 2-2 draw with Woodkirk resulted in these High Schools tying for 2nd place.

Temple Moor High School held strong to finish top and take the honours in the Leeds East Sport Partnership, despite some terrific performances from both Corpus Christi and Brigshaw.
 
After losing an early fixture against Brigshaw, Temple Moor bounced back to secure wins against Corpus and also gained some revenge by beating Brigshaw 3 tries to 1 in the return leg.
