Bob Bowman steps up to take Leeds Rugby Foundation reins

Leeds Rugby Foundation can announce that Bob Bowman has been appointed Director of Operations of the Charitable Trust following the departure of Chief Executive Lucy Owen.

Bob was previously a hugely active Trustee of the Foundation, but has now taken up his new role which will see him oversee the Leeds Rugby Foundation’s processes.

And Bob is delighted to make the step up: “I am absolutely thrilled to have been appointed Director of Operations,” he said.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Trustee of the Leeds Rugby Foundation, but I am now excited to take up this new challenge,” he continued.

“As a lifelong Leeds fan I constantly remind myself how proud I am to work in such an amazing organisation with some truly inspirational people, be that players, coaches, administrators and our amazing staff!”

Chairman of the Leeds Rugby Foundation, Dr Neil Kaiper-Holmes commented: "Bob is already well-known in both rugby and community circles as a tireless and enthusiastic advocate of everything that goes toward improving the community, in which we live, learn and work.

“I am sure that his appointment will bring a new dimension to the work that we carry out and build even further on our reputation as the Super League Foundation of the Year. I believe we have secured a real asset for Leeds Rugby Foundation and I look forward tremendously to working with him in his new role".

Gary Hetherington, Leeds Rugby Foundation Trustee and Leeds Rugby Chief Executive commented: “We are very fortunate to have someone in Bob who has terrific enthusiasm and passion for the role and a deep knowledge of the city.

“He certainly knows how Leeds Rugby Foundation can change lives.”
