The charity cycle from Benburb in Northern Ireland to Headingley, was all in aid of Rhinos legend John Holmes as well as Phil's cousin Billy Williamson who both lost their fight against cancer within months of each other.

The journey took in over 300 miles in 4 days and the 7 Irish riders taking part including Billy's son Andrew as well as Leeds Rugby Foundation's Keith Senior.

Phil Holmes commented: "We are all delighted with the final total. Our original aim was to raise over £20,000 and we have done that so we are thrilled. A big thanks to everyone who made the cycle challenge possible and let's see if we can top it next year!"
