Leeds Rhinos Foundation is looking to recruit a new Business Development Executive to build new business by identifying and marketing its Friends of the Foundation Scheme.

Region: West Yorkshire
Salary: circa £18,000 + OTE
 
Established in 2005 with the purpose of using the power of sport, particularly rugby league to change the lives of children, young people and their families, we have grown to become one of the most pioneering sports charities in the UK, winning multiple awards for our ground-breaking sports, health, community and education programmes.
 
Our passionate, dedicated and highly skilled team includes formal educators, health workers, coaches, family learning officers, volunteers and support staff based at offices and classrooms within the Leeds Rugby Academy and Headingley Carnegie Stadium.
 
Whilst we are linked to Leeds Rhinos, we are structurally and financially independent of the rugby league club, meaning we are responsible for fundraising almost one million pounds every year to run our life-changing programmes.
 
Our mission is simple: to provide opportunities to everyone through which they can improve their lives. We utilise the power that the Leeds Rhinos brand and sport has in West Yorkshire to engage people in a way which other organisations can't. It's then the work of our programmes and excellent staff which makes the real difference. Business Development Executive Job Responsibilities:
Build new business by identifying and marketing the Friends of the Foundation Scheme; maintaining relationships with clients, providing business support and coordinating business events.
 
Business Development Executive Job Duties:

  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying clients and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analysing their business/organisation.
  • Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with clients.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities.
  • Coordinates business events that promote B2B transactions
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing Leeds Rhinos Foundation standards.
  • Maintains professional knowledge by attending business events; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Essential

  • A proven track record in sales
  • Full UK Driving Licence

This is a full time role which will be based at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, St Michael’s Lane, Headingley, Leeds, LS6 3BR. The salary will be based on experience, skills and qualifications.
 
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months initially and will be subject to a funding review annually.
