Leeds Rhinos Foundation (LRF) aims to promote and develop through collaboration and partnership, a sustainable system for Health and Well Being, Physical Activity, PE and Sport that enriches the lives of all children and young people and families The collaboration made up of numerous partners aims to deliver a range of outcomes under four principles of Sport/ Physical Activity, Health and Education. Sport and Physical Activity will be used to deliver important lifestyle messages to inspire others to make positive changes to their own lives. Health and Education will impact on children’s attainment, emotional, social skills along with their ability to understand sustainability and environment. |
| Purpose of the role |
We are seeking an experienced Inclusion Officer to support a new partnership between The Leeds Rhinos Foundation, The Leeds United Foundation and Wellspring Academy Trust. What You’ll Be Doing You will work across both foundations (Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Leeds United Foundation) to deliver within all 7 school in the wellspring Academy Trust to undertake the delivery under the following 4 themes: Engagement and Participation, Health and Wellbeing, Belonging and Community, Opportunity and Thriving. You will use the power of the badges to create a united approach within the schools. Supporting young people with opportunities

| Candidate Characteristics | · A successful track record of working with learners and parents/carers to improve outcomes for attendance, behaviour and attitudes for learning and progress/attainment. Creating opportunities and rewards for young people to work towards.
· Experience of analysing and using data about learner outcomes monitor the impact of appropriate actions and interventions · Experience of working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals (e.g. health, social care) to improve outcomes for children · Highly developed influencing skills to persuade learners, parents, colleagues, and external agencies to adopt courses of action. Work with internal and external partners to inspire young people. · The staff member will monitor and evaluate the impact of their work, always manage their workload effectively and ensure safeguarding through adhering to individual school/ partner policies. |
| Additional Responsibilities

· Attend relevant meetings
· Attend relevant CPD, including carbon literacy training · Attend school/ LRF events as and when necessary · Update Outlook calendar on a weekly basis · Update UPSHOT and other relevant data collection tools. |
| Qualifications/ Skills and Required | · NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Learning Support
· Professional training in Behaviour Management and working within a school environment. · Hold current Enhanced DBS Certificate. · Has had outstanding attendance over the last two years whilst in the workplace. Knowledge of relevant policies & procedures · Being aware of and working with the school policies in relation to Inclusion, Child Protection and physical contact with pupils, relevant regulations and guidance. Literacy/Numeracy/Technology · NVQ level 3 in English or equivalent · NVQ level 3 in Maths or equivalent. · Good working knowledge of ICT to support learning and performance of own role. · Communication – written/verbal. · Ability to write reports, letters, etc. · Ability to use clear language to communicate information unambiguously · Ability to listen effectively · Ability to negotiate effectively with adults and children. · Desirable · Level 4 or working towards degree level. · Specialist language/communication skills, if appropriate. · Good working knowledge of specialist curriculum area(s) if appropriate |
