Councillor Stuart McKenna, a trustee of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Councillor Jim McKenna, who’s ward in Armley will be hosting the event were also in attendance giving their backing and full support of the whole event.
Councillor Jim McKenna said:
"This is a fantastic opportunity for the young rugby players of West Leeds to show their commitment to the area they were brought up in and is a good testimony to the lads."
Community Clubs Ambassador for the Leeds Rhinos Foundation joined West Leeds Under 12s for the rehearsal and will be with the West Leeds players on Saturday said:
"This is a proud day for us all, I was brought up in the area and was a founder member of West Leeds ARLFC, so i'm pleased to see some of our players
"West Leeds is a developing club and does a great community job in the area, taking 150 plus young people off the streets and engaging them in sport. The Under 12s team won the league this season and performing the Haka with Kylie is a real treat and reward for them.
"As always i'd like to thank Kylie for his community support helping the lads learn the Haka and making the event on Saturday extra special."
