Leeds Rhinos legend Chev Walker has urged aspiring young sportsmen and women to come and try a Leeds Rhinos performance camp this summer to sample a professional environment and learn more about their rugby league aptitude with the new Leeds Rhinos DNA test.
Walker, who returned to the club to team up with the Leeds Rhinos Foundation in March, successfully ran the charity's first performance camps during summer half term alongside England Women's Rugby League international Lois Forsell for over 100 youngsters aged 12-18.
Aimed at current community players and aspiring sportsmen and women who wouldn't otherwise have come into contact with Rugby League, the camps identify youngsters with the physical attributes to make a rugby league player.
Now part of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation's regular holiday camp offering, the performance camps will be available in August and September during the school holidays at Oulton Raiders and Drighlington ARLFC costing £7.50 for one day girls camps and £15 for two-day boys camps.
