The Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Education programme TryZone ran the final session of the first ‘preparing for interview’ programme last week with staff from British Gas carrying out mock interviews with the learners
Adult learners completed the 'Preparing for Interview' programme at the Leeds Rhinos Foundation's, TryZone Education Centre based at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.
The 10 session programme is designed to prepare learners for the daunting task of attending an employment interview and is being delivered as part of Leeds City Council's Community Learning Programme.
Attendees on the programme were guided through a range of interview planning activities such as; the importance of researching the employer and body language, taking part in telephone interviews, interview role plays and culminated in a formal mock interview, carried out by staff from British Gas.
The second 'Preparing for Interview' programme is due to start on the 3rd March and is targeted at ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) learners.
