Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign ‘Run with the Rhinos’ received a major boost this year with Steeden providing the race T-shirts for the team to wear on Sunday for the Asda Foundation Leeds 10k
84 runners will be taking to the streets of Leeds on Sunday representing the Leeds Rhinos Foundation for the event which is likely to attract around 7,000 runners.
The team, which includes some Rhinos legends from the past and club mascot Ronnie the Rhino, will be wearing the yellow jersey now familiar with Run with the Rhinos which has this year been designed by Steeden featuring the Leeds Rhinos Foundation logo and text donate number as part of the design.
The shirts which have provided for free as a donation from Steeden, have been well received by runners who have collecting their unique memento of the day from the club shop since Monday.
Chief Operating Officer for the Leeds Rhinos Foundation Bob Bowman said:
“We’ve been very lucky this year to offer our race entry to runners for just £25 place this year with none of the usual add-ons to pay for race shirts which we have had in the past and that is due to the fantastic gesture from Dan Drew and his team.
“With a lower operating cost for putting our race package together this year, all of our fundraising is coming straight back to the charity, so it really maximises the fundraising we will be doing this year, so I’d like to say a big thank you on behalf of everyone at the Foundation.”
Director at Advantage Sport Dan Drew said:
“It is a fantastic honour to be a partner of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and principle backer of the Run with the Rhinos campaign.”
“The concept is one that is growing year on year and to see the Steeden brand running through the streets of Leeds is great for all involved.”
The Asda Foundation Leeds 10K Starts at 9:30am on Sunday 9th July. If you would like to sponsor the Run with the Rhinos team visit our MyDonate page at https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/runwiththerhinos2017
