Ten reasons to buy your Grand Prize Draw raffle ticket with Jet2holidays

Grand Prize Draw 2015 with Jet2holidays

As well the opportunity to win a four star family holiday to the Sol Katmandu Park and Resort on the Island of Majorca, there are many other reasons to buy a ticket for this year’s Leeds Rhinos Foundation Grand Prize Draw with Jet2holidays.

The official live draw, due to take place at half time in the Leeds Rhinos’ Easter Monday home fixture against the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, is now less than two weeks away and with tickets selling in good numbers the Leeds Rhinos Foundation are giving you ten reasons why buying a ticket does so much more than putting you in the draw to win a fantastic family holiday.

Here are 10 reasons your £2 donation will go a long way in 2015:

  • You can win a four-star family holiday

This year's Grand Prize Draw top prize of a Four Star Family Holiday to the Sol Katmandu Park and Resort on the Island of Majorca provided by Jet2holidays is the place to be for family holidays this summer and by entering this year's Grand Prize Draw you could be in with a chance to experience Majorca's only "Play & Stay" hotel first hand.

The newly renovated Sol Katmandu Park & Resort™ is the first "fun-inclusive" themed resort in Mallorca with both accommodation and entertainment all rolled into one package, that appeals to friends, couples and families and with one of Trip Advisor's "Top Ten Amusement and Water Parks in Spain in The Katmandu Park®, it is a resort everyone should experience.

The now fully integrated hotel and park is also just a stone's throw away from the beach, offering the perfect fun filled and relaxing holiday experience for our lucky grand prize winners.

  • Support the Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s work in the community

Last year’s draw raised £7000 for the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and that money was put directly back into the charity to deliver a wide variety of projects which have benefited the local community.

The Leeds Rhinos Foundation is this year celebrating its 10 year anniversary as the official charity of the Leeds Rhinos. Over the last decade they have delivered a range of projects under three principles of Sport, Health and Education.

Sport is an engaging tool that allows our staff to work with a whole range of individuals, delivering important lifestyle messages to inspire others to make positive changes to their own lives, working alongside primary and secondary schools, community clubs and holiday rugby camps to engage both children and adults.

  • 19 other top prizes available

If you miss out on the top prize of a holiday you could still win one of our 19 other top prizes including tickets to venues across Leeds, match day hospitality, sports memorabilia and leisure days. • Putting money back into your community club

The Leeds Rhinos Foundation are putting money back into the community clubs by offering a 50% cash back incentive to clubs who are able to sell 50 tickets.

Farnley Falcons were able to raise a total of £350 from cash back on tickets sold at the club last year and this money went to providing a kit for the club's newly established under 10's age group.

  • You will be supporting an award winning charity

The Leeds Rhinos Foundation was recently recognised for their contribution to improving the lives of young people in the city at the Child Friendly Leeds Awards, picking up the award for Best Overall Contribution in the awards that celebrated some of the people, places and organisations helping to make Leeds a child friendly place.

  • All money is re-invested

As a non-profit organisation all money raised by the Grand Prize Draw raffle is re-invested in future projects so by entering the Leeds Rhinos Foundation Grand Prize Draw, you will be supporting the wide ranging community work in the city.

  • You will be supporting specialist sports coaching in Schools

The Leeds Rhinos Foundation now has 106 schools in Leeds and the wider region all receiving the benefits of being in the ambassador schools scheme with many now receiving coaching in multi-skills, multi sports and rugby from fully qualified foundation coaches and staff in primary and secondary schools.

  • You will be backing our delivery of Disability Sports Projects

The Leeds Rhinos Foundation will continue create opportunities for people with disabilities in 2015  in partnership with St James’s Place Foundation.  This will involve coaching days in May and the highlight of the year will be in September with the Disability Tag Rugby Festival at Headingley Carnegie Stadium providing a day of Rugby.

  • You will be helping the Leeds Rhinos Foundation deliver a variety of community initiatives

The Leeds Rhinos Foundation now operates with 28 full-time staff in areas such as education, health and sport, providing education and support for children and adults through the charities education project TryZone.

Some of the areas TryZone works with include a work club in partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions, a programme for Young Dad’s, a young girls group (TAGG) and programmes focussing on the importance of healthy lifestyles.

  • You will be supporting the development of Rugby League

The Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Three Year Rugby League Development plan has a proven track record of enhancing the game of Rugby League in the community.

The plan was introduced two years ago with the aim to give every youngster in Leeds the opportunity to play Rugby League and attend a Leeds Rhinos or Hunslet Hawks game and through a partnership with Key partner Mears and money provided by other sponsors over the period the Leeds Rhinos Foundation has been able to enhance the amount of schools who will benefit from coaching targeting some of the most deprived areas in the city to provide access to rugby league for all.
