This year’s Run For All Leeds 10K saw over 140 participants joining Leeds Rhinos Foundations Run with the Rhinos team.
In a touching tribute to the late Rugby League legend Rob Burrow, Leeds Rhinos Foundation announced that all funds raised by the team would be donated to the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Fund.
In an overwhelming response, supporters and staff signed up to take on the Leeds 10k, to demonstrate their admiration for the Burrow family and to raise money funds for the Rob Burrow Centre for MND.
Partners of the club including Chadwick Lawrence, Engie, Nuffield Health and JB Andrews once again showed their back for the Run with the Rhinos team, with staff from each organisation joining the Run with the Rhinos team.
Among the many inspiring participants was Kathryn Davey, who has Huntington’s disease. Kathryn ran alongside her mother, showcasing her immense courage and determination.
The money raised will go to the centre which will support individuals affected by MND.
CEO of the Foundation, Bob Bowman, said: “The Leeds 10k was a great event. Our Run with The Rhinos team had one of our best ever turnouts this year. It was a clear indication of how moved so many people were at Rob’s sad passing that they decided to run with us and raise money for the MND Centre appeal.
“I would like to thank everyone who took part, our 77 seconds of applause at Rob’s mural was very moving and everyone ran so well in what were hot conditions. Hopefully I will see everyone on the start line next year and of course if anyone is interested in taking part in the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, or half, on the 11th May 2025 and be part of the official Leeds Rhinos Foundation team then get in touch.”
