Sign up for the new Try Tag Rugby Yorkshire League at John Smeaton starting 14th February

Taster Sessions for Try Tag Rugby are happening across the city this month

The Try Tag Rugby Yorkshire Cross Gates Winter Mixed League came to an end this week with teams picking up team and individual awards after 8 weeks of weekly social Tag rugby at John Smeaton Leisure Centre and registration is now available for the new league starting 14th February.

The league, which has run since the 15th November in partnership with Leeds Rhinos Foundation, included over 8 teams and 50 regular players enjoying weekly social rugby and finished with Feast Leeds crowned as overall champions on Tuesday with an unbeaten 7 win record. With a focus on inclusion, fitness and fun the mixed league at John Smeaton saw a number of stand out performers throughout the 8 weeks, with awards for player of the season going to Ollie Brown, female player of the season to Michelle Crawford and player of the final going to Simon Paget.

With the new season starting on the 14th February, Try Tag Rugby Yorkshire are looking for new players to join their thriving league at John Smeaton and have some Free Taster Sessions taking place over the weekend for players interested to find out more.

Free Tag Rugby Taster Sessions

Saturday, 4th February – Free Ladies Tag Rugby Taster Session in Roundhay Park, 10:00 – 11:30am.

Tuesday 7th February – Mixed Tag Rugby Taster Session at John Smeaton Leisure Centre, 7:15pm – 8:45pm
