The Leeds Rhinos Foundation are offering runners interested in taking on a marathon this year a place in the PlusNet Yorkshire Marathon by fundraising for the event as part of the Run with the Rhinos team
The York based event, now in its fourth year, has quickly become one of the most popular road races in the country, selling out in each of the three years, with over 7,000 runners annually taking on the 26.2 miles around some of the city's most historic backdrops.
Places for the PlusNet Yorkshire Marathon officially went on sale January 6th and with the event likely to sell out again this year, the Leeds Rhinos Foundation are looking for fundraisers interested in taking up a charity place.
Taking place on October 9th, the event is the final race in the Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Run with the Rhinos programme this year, which includes the PlusNet Leeds Half Marathon, Asda Foundation Leeds and York 10k’s and the Urban Trail Runner series.
Established in 2005 with the purpose of using the power of sports and particularly rugby league to change the lives of children, young people and their families, the Leeds Rhinos Foundation has grown to become one of the most pioneering sports charities in the UK, winning multiple awards for ground-breaking sports, health, community and education delivery across the region.
Whilst the Leeds Rhinos Foundation is linked to the Leeds Rhinos, the charity is structurally and financially independent of the rugby club and is responsible for fundraising almost one million pounds every year to continue to run life changing programmes across the West Yorkshire region.

The marathon is staged by Marathon Yorkshire Ltd, a sister company to Jane Tomlinson's Run For All; the organisation behind the popular Leeds, Hull, York, Nottingham and Burnley 10Ks and the Leeds Half Marathon and Yorkshire Half Marathon-Sheffield.
The well-regarded Run For All brand has already become synonymous with well-organised, quality sporting events throughout Yorkshire and the North of England.

– Any match day tickets offered are for matches only from the date of receipt of funds raised and subject to availability. Stand is subject to change and non-negotiable.
– Date of Trios Event is yet TBC. If unable to attend there can be no alternative or refund.
– Deadline for registration is Friday 10th June. Sign-ups after this date may not be eligible for complimentary race day shirt
– Hospitality draw: Match given is subject to availability and may be 2016-2017 season.
– Any training sessions offered are flexible but ultimately subject to staff availability. One hour total.

– Yorkshire Marathon/ UTR Series/ Full Series Match day Experience: Match date is subject to availability but will be 2017 season. Once confirmed this invitation is non- refundable, non- transferable and no alternative will be offered
