Rugby League Hall of Fame legend Schofield to speak at Leeds Business Week event

Garry Schofield will be a gust speaker at the event

Leeds Rhinos Foundation are delighted to announce that Leeds and Great Britain Rugby League legend Garry Schofield OBE will be guest speaking as part of the charity’s Leeds Business Week breakfast event at Gusto Restaurant on the 20th October.

Former Golden Boot winner Schofield will join guests at the Breakfast event to talk about his background in Rugby League, working with team mates and managers in sport and business, while taking part in a Q&A with Leeds Rhinos Foundation Director of Operations Bob Bowman QPM.

Schofield played over 450 games during an illustrious career, including 46 caps for Great Britain with 12 as captain and scored 746 points in over 250 games for his hometown club Leeds over a nine year spell.

Leeds Business Week, organised by business membership specialists The Yorkshire Mafia, brings together a variety of speakers to present their ideas, share their knowledge and inspire thousands of delegates at over 100 events across the city of Leeds.

Guests at the event will also be treated to tea and coffee and a selection of pastries and fruit at the relaxed and stylish Gusto restaurant, with entertainment including a performance from the Leeds Rhinos Dance Academy, the Rhinestones.

Joining Garry Schofield will be guest speakers who will be telling their story about working with the charity on health and education programmes, detailing how working with the Foundation helped them to change their lives.

The breakfast starts at 7.45am and finishes at 9.30am. Tickets for the event cost just £10 with £2.50 for every ticket sold going towards supporting the work of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
