Rugby League Cares and LRF to celebrate Great Britain’s Lions Tour

Leeds Rugby Foundation is to join forces with Rugby League Cares to host a Great Britain Lions Celebration Lunch on Saturday 12th July from 11.30am at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

The event will continue Leeds Rugby Foundation’s flagship celebratory series of events which are taking place throughout the year to celebrate 150 years of rugby in the city.

The Lions lunch itself will involve a presentation by Rugby League historian Tony Collins on the 1914 Lions Tour to Australia and the famous “Rorke’s Drift Test”.

You will also get the unique chance to see some rare 1914 Lions footage. On top of that there will be a Q and A with players from the 1984 Lions Tour.

The event will end with a 1914 style three course meal!
