Rhinos win benefits local school children thanks to Score to Explore & Kicks for Boots

Thanks to Leeds Rhinos’ win in Super League against Huddersfield Giants last week, local school children benefited from two great initiatives from Leeds Rhinos Foundation.

Joel Moon, Liam Sutcliffe and Jimmy Keinhorst all crossed for tries in the win, which meant that as part of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation ‘Score to Explore’ initiative, supported by Geoff and Gill Caplan, three deserving Leeds children were given a free place on an outdoor adventure trip.

Jordan Lilley did his part to ensure that four children would receive a free pair of X-Blades boots by successfully kicking four goals.  The ‘Kicks for Boots’ incentive is supported by the charity’s key partner Cover Structure and the young players who receive the boots will be selected from the teams who attend the fixture.

The lucky winners of the boots following the Huddersfield game were Jamie Simpson – Stanningley under 9s, Joska Walton – Chapeltown Cougars under 9s, Reece Smith – York Acorn under 9s and Harrison Halmshaw – Stanningley under 9s.

Both ‘Kicks for Boots’ and ‘Score to Explore’ aim to reward young people in the community and will run throughout the season so keep an eye out for our running tally to see how many boots and trips have been given away.
