The professionally organised sports tour and experience organised by ESF Events and supported by Leeds Rhinos Foundation will bring an overall attendance of 5,700 people to the site, including 1,500 players in the under 7s to under 15s age groups.

As part of the Rhinos Challenge experience, all teams are accommodated at the award-winning Butlin’s resort in Skegness offering the perfect base for a unique tour experience and unforgettable memories for players and their families.

Once again the event will receive support from Leeds Rhinos first team squad with Jimmy Keinhorst and Carl Ablett visiting the two-day event to meet the players and offer their support for the tournament which aims to benefit the development of junior rugby.

Looking ahead to Rhinos Challenge Ablett said: “Rhinos challenge is a massive event for the junior rugby league calendar.

“I attended for the first-time last year and was amazed by the number of teams and the size of the festival. I’ve heard where teams are coming from this year and there are teams from as far as Essex, Cumbria and Oxfordshire, so it’s fantastic for the development of rugby league.”

“Going on tour is what playing rugby as a youngster is all about, bonding with your team mates and competing together against different teams is a great opportunity, so it’s great to be a part of it.”

Leeds Rhinos Foundation's support of Rhinos Challenge, is part of the charity's Rugby League Development Plan sponsored by Mears, which aims to increase participation and improve standards in this game.

Rhinos Challenge which was first launched in 2012 and has sold out for each of the last five years will be taking place on the 13th and 14th May.
