Leeds Rhinos Foundation are delighted to announce the winners of the Rhinos Challenge social media competition who have all won a special prize for sharing their tour memories with us over the weekend.
Last week we asked teams, players and supporters from the 150 clubs on location at Rhinos Challenge to share social media posts that encapsulates their tour experience with the best posts winning prizes.
After another record-breaking Rhinos Challenge festival at the weekend at Butlin’s award winning resort, we are now pleased to announce our winners. Due to the number of fantastic posts from several clubs and supporters over the weekend, we just couldn’t pick five, so have included one extra winner taking our list up to six.
Here are our winners for this year’s event with prizes selected at random:
Winning a signed Leeds Rhinos shirt is this post from North Leeds Leopards club twitter account, who got creative and sent us a picture of the players making human letters to spell out their club initials. It might look good in your clubhouse at Moortown.

Another creative post came from Louise Worswick, who posted a video of her son from Golbourne Parkside Pirates who created his own special Rhinos Challenge chant. Check it out on Louise’s Facebook account, the post has already reached 600 views, what a talent! We’re sending you a £40 gift voucher.
West Hull Jaguars, thought they’d received some special treatment when they arrived to find their own ‘Jaguars only parking’ around the festival sites. Unfortunately, although it wasn’t the case we appreciated your post and will be sending you a £40 gift voucher.

We love hearing some of the Rhinos Challenge stories that come out every year from the club’s attending the tour, but this post from Jo Markham captured the essence of what Rugby League and going on tour is all about. Jack, who can’t play because of a blood condition, still made the trip with his friends and enjoyed the tour experience all the same, how fantastic is that? We’re sending you two Leeds Rhinos match tickets, so you can come enjoy a game at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, Hull FC on the 14th July?

Sarah Oldroyd also captured something very special about Rugby League and Rhinos Challenge when she sent in a picture of two sides putting club rivalries aside to pose for a picture on site at the festival. Rivals on the pitch but friends off it, what more can we say? Fantastic post. We’re sending you four signed rugby balls for each of the players because of how much we loved that post.

Also on our winners list is Siddal Whites from Halifax, who sent us this picture with their tour shirts showing the Andy’s Man Club campaign ‘it’s okay to talk’. What a great gesture from the club raising awareness of mental health and an important campaign. We’re sending you a Marvel ISC Super League Jersey.

It’s been another fantastic year at Rhinos Challenge, over 1500 players from 150 clubs played in over 500 fixtures across nine age groups, that’s a lot of rugby league to fit into one weekend. What better way to experience playing the game then on tour with your family and friends? We hope to see all the teams back again next year.
We’d like to thank everyone who entered our competition, your posts helped us spread the word about Rhinos Challenge and our great game.
If you are one of our winners we will be contacting you to arrange your prizes, so keep an eye out for messages from Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
