Earlier this week, our Rhinestones Elite Team presentation evening took place, recognising and celebrating those who have shone throughout the year.
Our Rhinestones Dance Academy is preparing to celebrate a major milestone, turning 18 years old next year. The Elite Team, a key part of the Academy, has also recently completed its 11th season, marking the occasion with its annual Presentation Evening.
Dancers and their families came together at West Park RUFC to celebrate another successful year. The evening was made even more special with the attendance of Leeds Rhinos first team players Danny Levi and Maika Sivo, who presented the dancers with their awards.
Each Elite Team dancer was recognised for their commitment and dedication, receiving awards to mark their length of service, from those completing their first season through to dancers who have proudly completed all 11 seasons with the team.
Since its launch, Rhinestones has always aimed to provide young people with access to high-quality dance classes at an affordable price. The programme offers specialised training led by highly experienced coaches for aspiring dancers from across Leeds. With sessions held in a safe and welcoming environment, Rhinestones is proud to inspire self-confidence and discipline among its members.
Throughout the year, dancers have the opportunity to perform both on stage and in front of thousands of Leeds Rhinos supporters at AMT Headingley Stadium during Super League fixtures, creating unforgettable experiences whilst developing their skills and confidence.

Leadership Award – Lilly Orchard
Dancers Dancer – Daisy Smith
And the Denise Laura Award, an award in memory of Head Coach Nicola’s late mother went to Phoebe Asher.
Dance Development Officer, Nicola Booth, commented on the evening: “It’s so important to recognise and celebrate the achievements and dedication of the Elite Team dancers.
“It was a fantastic evening that was thoroughly deserved, there was so much support, love and joy in the room.
“To top off the evening, we all watched the World Cup Semi Final together like one big happy dance family.”
