In partnership with Oldham RLFC, Leeds Rhinos Foundation are delighted to announce that registration for the Lions Development Programme have now opened to those currently in years 10 and 11!
Starting on Saturday 2nd March, following the launch night, players enrolled on the programme will participate in five weekly training sessions at Hollinwood Rugby Club in Oldham, where they will receive outstanding Rugby League coaching within a professional club environment.
This will lead up to a series of games during the Easter holidays, where players can showcase the skills they have developed.
The session dates will be as followed:
Friday 9th February – Deadline for players to register.
Thursday 29th February – Launch Night at Oldham sixth form college – 6:30pm
Saturday 2nd March – Session 1
Saturday 9th March – Session 2
Saturday 16th March – Session 3
Saturday 23rd March – Session 4
Saturday 30th March – Session 5
This pathway provides a strong link into the professional setup and can be used to complement training with a community club, representing a great opportunity for any aspiring players across the city to further their development, explore new techniques and display their abilities in a highly competitive setting.

“We saw some amazing skill on show last year, and we are excited to hopefully see those numbers grow even further, improving the standards of Rugby League in Oldham.
“We are grateful to be continuing our relationship with Oldham RLFC and are honoured to be able to offer this opportunity to aspiring players further afield, alongside our Rhinos Talent Pathway programme back in Leeds.”
