A new Try Tag Rugby 8-week mixed winter season, in partnership with the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, starts at John Smeaton Leisure Centre next Tuesday 15th November with the registration deadline fast approaching for players looking to take part.
Leeds Rhinos Foundation joined forces with Try Tag Rugby in September to launch the first ever Tag Rugby League in the East of the city based at John Smeaton Leisure Centre, which ended with a finals night on the 8th November to cap off a fantastic autumn league competition.
With the completion of the Autumn league this week, current players and new players interested in playing weekly social rugby can now register for the new Winter League starting on the 15th November, with registration available online at http://www.trytagrugby.com/locations/yorkshire-home/leagues/leeds-john-smeaton/
Players of all sporting abilities and rugby experience levels, including complete rugby novices are all welcome and although the league is already underway there is still space for additional individual males and females to join teams.
Tag Rugby is a minimal contact version of Rugby, generally played in the 7 a side format, and is a great way to keep fit while having fun.
If you sign up as an individual or group, you will be placed with other individuals and groups to make a team. Each team will play one 40-minute game each week and this will be followed by a weekly after match social where players will get the chance to have a drink and a bite to eat with their team mates and opposition in a local pub.
If you are interested in joining please email yorkshire@trytagrugby.com
