Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Player Development Days are back!

Leeds Rhinos Foundation is delighted to announce dates for the relaunch of our Leeds Rhinos Player Development Days in June, following a year-long absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first sessions will take place on Friday 4th June at Hunslet Warriors ARLFC and are aimed at any boys and girls aged 12-14 who are looking to improve their core rugby skills and reach their full athletic potential in a professional environment.

And for the first time, we are pleased to confirm that these sessions will be FREE to attend!

It is not only a chance to receive first class training by Leeds Rhinos coaches, but also an opportunity for the coaches to use the days to highlight potential talent for the club’s renowned Scholarship programmes, which continues to act as a pathway to both the men’s and women’s first teams.

So far, more than 300 boys and girls have attended our Player Development Days, which are part of the award-winning England Talent Pathway scheme designed to improve standards at a critical stage of the community game.

Ian Hardman, Rugby League Development Manager for Leeds Rhinos Foundation, said: “Our Player Development Days are a fantastic opportunity for any aspiring players aged 12-14 to learn from professional coaches and work on developing key elements of their play.

“The feedback we’ve received from our previous Player Development Days has been fantastic and we look forward to working with more talented young players when we relaunch our Player Development Days in 2021.”

Please note that places are limited and those who are interested in attending are urged to sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
