Player Development Day announced for February

Leeds Rhinos Foundation is pleased to announce dates for our next programme of u12s, u13s and u14s Player Development Days in February.

The sessions take place on Friday 21st February at Dewsbury Rams RLFC and are aimed at young rugby players who are looking to improve their core rugby skills and reach their full athletic potential in a professional environment.

At a cost of just £10 per session, players will enjoy the opportunity to train with coaches from Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Leeds Rhinos’ Scholarship and Women’s teams, as well as Martyn Reilly who heads up Dewsbury’s ‘Rampage’ programme.

So far, more than 300 boys and girls have attended one of our Player Development Days, which are part of the award-winning England Talent Pathway scheme designed to improve standards throughout the community game at ages 12-14.

Ian Hardman, Rugby League Development Manager for Leeds Rhinos Foundation, said: “Our Player Development Days are a fantastic opportunity for any aspiring young players looking to learn from professional coaches and work on developing key elements of their play, such as game awareness and defensive contact.

“The feedback we’ve received from our previous Player Development Days has been fantastic and we look forward to working with more players on this programme in February.”

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF VENUE DUE TO MAINTENANCE WORKS AT KIRKSTALL. Many thanks to Dewsbury Rams and Chairman Mark Sawyer for their support in hosting this event.
