Emerald Headingley Stadium will host an open day for Leeds City College’s sports academies on Wednesday 12th February.
Held in the Lewis Jones suite, visitors will be able to speak with academies staff and current players to find out what life in a Leeds City College sports academy is like and find out from Leeds City College and Leeds Sixth Form teaching staff about the fantastic range of courses available.
Leeds Rhinos Foundation Development Academy coaches will also be present to meet prospective players and explain how the academy is helping students to learn, develop and improve on and off the rugby field.
In 2020, we will also be launching our first ever Women’s Rugby League Development Academy with the college, for any girls aged 16-19 who would like to combine their academic studies with taking part in the Rhinos’ world class rugby league performance programme and pathway.
There are many facets of the academy, including group and individualised strength and conditioning sessions, video analysis and nutrition, held across a range of high-quality facilities including the Leeds Rugby Academy complex in Kirkstall.
