Leeds Rhinos camps will take on a new format this half term with former Rhinos star Chev Walker headlining new two-day Talent Identification and Training Clinics for players in the Under-12s, 13s and 14s age groups.
Walker, who made 200 appearances for the Rhinos during his career, re-joined the club this year to lead a new initiative to identify and recruit talented athletes from high schools into Rugby League and will lead the camps alongside stars from the Rhinos and coaches from Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
As part of the initiative Walker will deliver a new movement and skills test on the camps taking place at Stanningley ARLFC on May 30th and 31st and Oulton Raiders on June 1st and 2nd with players also viewed by scholarship coaches from the Leeds Rhinos all for just £15.
Alongside the new training clinics for boys, girls looking to progress their rugby level will also be able to attend a Talent Identification and Training Clinic with Leeds Rhinos Foundation Women and Girls Development Officer and England International Lois Forsell.
Running at Oulton Raiders Sports Pavilion, the girls clinic will take place on the June 1st for Under-12s to Under-14s, priced £7.50 a day and on June 2nd for Under-16s to Under-18s, priced £7.50. Both days will run from 12-3pm and will also include skills testing and coaching drills from the Leeds Rhinos Foundation coaching staff.
For junior boys and girls aged 6-12, Leeds Rhinos Foundation will be also running two-day a multi sports camp for £30 on May 30th and 31st at Stanningley ARLFC. Camp attendees will receive a camp T-shirt, water bottle and ticket to a Rhino home game.
