Children’s Day, which has been held annually at Headingley Carnegie Stadium since 2008, will see thousands of families across the region attend the day-long event, which brings together a host of organisations from Yorkshire every year to provide a memorable day of activities for children.
Here are the answers to some FAQ's around the day –
Will there be parking on the day?
Yes. There’s parking on the day in Car Park F close to the stadium, which is £3 for the day. In addition to this there is ample on street parking around the ground.
Are there toilets around the ground?
Yes, there are toilets at the ground which will be signposted.
Will there be baby changing facilities?
Baby changing facilities be found upstairs in the East stand next to the Long Room.
Will there be a place to get lunch and refreshments?
Yes, Naturally Best Catering are the designated caterers for the day as well as other food venders. You can bring your own food into the ground, but no alcohol is permitted.
Is the event free?
Yes, the event and all activations are FREE!
Attendees can make a suggested donation of £3 per adult and £1 per child attending on entry. All proceeds will support the work of Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Yorkshire Cricket Foundation.
Is there access to WIFI?
Yes, there is free available in the Carnegie Café bar.
Is the event disability and wheelchair friendly?
Yes, the ground is wheelchair accessible and there is disabled toilets which are located in the Carnegie café bar, the Main Pavilion and the east stand.
Are there any cash machines?
There are no cash points inside the stadium but there is a cash machine on St. Michael’s Lane, located outside of the Leeds Rugby Ticket Office. There are also cash machines located in the centre of Headingley. All activities within the ground on Children’s Day are free however catering vans inside the ground are cash only.
How will I know where activations are?
There will be maps available upon entry at the turnstiles on Gate B.
Are there any medical services?
St Johns Ambulance will be joining us on the day. They will be located in front of the Headingley Lodge.
