Leeds Rhinos Foundation is delighted to be launching a new Men’s Try Club programme at East Leeds Rugby Club, starting on Thursday 24th February 2022.
The free 12-week programme is open to all men aged over 18 who are looking for a fun way to get active again and could benefit from expert advice on how to implement healthy changes to their diet and lifestyle.
Devised in partnership with Leeds Public Health, the Try Club programme combines both physical activity and classroom learning, and on completion of the 12-week course the aim is for every participant to be educated, motivated and committed to getting healthy and staying fit.
Sessions will run every Thursday from 6:30-8pm at the home of East Leeds ARLFC on Easy Road and will be led by our Health Improvement Officer Amy Livingstone, who will provide one-to-one support and tailor the programme to suit the needs of the men taking part.
Can’t make the first session? Don’t worry! You can come along the following week and join in for the remainder of the programme.
Looking forward to starting the first Men’s Try Club of 2022, Livingstone said: “We are so pleased to be working with Public Health Leeds again to offer our popular free Try Club weight management programme for men across the city, starting at our good friends East Leeds ARLFC.
“The course has helped to change the lives of the men who have attended previously and we are proud of the legacy of Try Club and want to make an even greater impact moving forward, as we know in this current climate that it’s more than important than ever before to look after our physical health and have a good, balanced diet.
“We offer honest, realistic advice in a fun supportive environment, so don’t put your health on hold any longer and get in touch and join us today.”
